Digital In

DigitalIn Block

This blocks is used to read a signal from digital input pins.

Specify a fixed-point or integer data type to read properly the digital signal (fixdt(0,4,0) for a 4-bit vector, uint16 for a 16-bit word, etc.),

Each bit of the signal can then be assigned to a digital input pin before and during model execution in the IO Setup wizard.

Ports

Port Type Description
InPort input data coming from digital pins (uint32)
Signal output the signal that is read from the digital pin

Parameters

Parameter Description
Output Data Type the datatype of the output signal

Target Interface

Connection and interface of this block

Directly connect InPort to an input port of the FPGA subsystem.

DigitalIn use example

Assign it to a Digital Input interface in the interface mapping (see Generation of the Bitstream file, step 1.3 in the Workflow Advisor; and you need in step 1.2 to choose the number of digital inputs to match your block design).

DigitalIn 1.2

DigitalIn target interface

These are taken fom the example design below, operating logical operations on the input signal.
