Troubleshooting¶
Check the stage where the problem first appears. Record the board, Toolbox version, MATLAB release, Vivado version and error message when requesting support.
| Symptom | Checks |
|---|---|
| NOA tab or blocks are missing | Confirm installation in MATLAB Add-Ons, activate your license and restart MATLAB. See Installation. |
| Target platform is missing in HDL Workflow Advisor | Check the board support packages and toolchain required by your Toolbox release. See Compatibility. |
| HDL generation or Vivado build fails | Confirm the intended FPGA subsystem is selected; inspect the first failing Workflow Advisor task and its diagnostics. See Bitstream generation. |
| Target does not connect | Check power, Ethernet, IP address or hostname, and the board's Rexys-provided PYNQ image. See Connection. |
| Loading fails | Check that the .bit and .hwh files belong to the same build and target board. |
| DAQ scope is empty | Check the loaded design, selected channels, acquisition setup, trigger settings and scope configuration. |
| Signal appears in DAQ but not at the connector | Check physical channel mapping, output enable and voltage range in I/O Setup. |
| Amplitude or frequency is unexpected | Check model units, AnalogOut scaling, clock and sample timing, then acquisition settings. |
The host-side software interface and the FPGA design are separate. Do not infer the hardware output state solely from whether the Simulink interface is running or stopped; verify the actual output when diagnosing a problem.
For scripts using noa-client instead of Simulink, use Python client troubleshooting.
